Whiskey: Never Leave Home Without It

What’s In My Flask:

Balvenie 12 yr. Doublewood (single malt scotch)—the 12 year is matured in two different casks, an oak whiskey cask and then a sherry oak cask. The result is a rich scotch with plenty of body and not too peaty.

Wild Turkey Rye—pretty good place to start if you’re looking to explore the world of rye whiskeys. Try it in a Manhattan or with a splash of ginger beer. Be careful ‘cause this rye is 101 proof.

Woodford Reserve—if you drink your Makers Mark neat, that means it’s time to move on. Throw out that sickeningly sweet liquid for a real sipping bourbon. Think honey, toasted almonds, and a little vanilla all wrapped up in a smooth whiskey.
